Blog: In search of treasure and redemption: Inaugural Lecture at the University of Birmingham by Professor John Dyson
If you’re planning on updating an outdated room, keep this little idea in your back pocket.
With the new baby on the way at the end of the year, I’m definitely motivated to get our household running smoothly..So I made a list!
I’m a list maker.Whenever I feel like I need to get things figured out in my head, I always make a list..Honestly though, this list isn’t really for me.
Well, it will definitely.me, but it’s really for Chris.
Or maybe it’s a little bit for me if I completely lose track of my thoughts when the baby gets here and I can’t remember what to do.. Here’s what happened: Earlier this month when I was at the Haven Conference, Chris was left alone for four whole days to look after the house.
It was not pretty, people. We actually ended up using some storage solutions that are usually meant for kitchens, like this back-of-the-door spice rack, that ended up working really well.. We also added in these spice drawer inserts in the top three drawers, which makes all the difference with all the little bottles and jars that can build-up in bathroom drawers..
This deep drawer with a simple movable divider makes it so easy to see and access bigger bottles and extra paper supplies..I really can’t believe all the stuff I’m able to keep in here.
I had planned extra space for some of this stuff in the cabinet just outside the bathroom, but that cabinet is mostly empty now!.It’s so nice to be able to keep the counters free too.
