Step 1: Remove The Floorhead.Before you start trying to clean the Vax Blade 4 brush bar, it’s best to remove the floorhead from the machine.

You can do this by pressing the blue button at the bottom of the wand..There are two reasons for this:.It’s much easier to work with the floorhead when it’s not attached to the main vacuum..

Removing the floorhead means there’s no chance of accidentally switching the vacuum on while cleaning the brush, which could cause injury..Step 2: Remove The Brush Bar.

Use a coin to turn the lock at the end of the Vax Blade 4 brush bar.

You should then be able to slide out the brush bar from the floorhead, which makes it much easier to clean.. On a side note, it’s great that Vax makes it so simple to remove the brush bar from the Blade 4’s floorhead., which can be pulled out from the top of the bin.

When this filter is blocked, the suction power of the vacuum will be reduced.To clean it, tap off excess dust, remove the scented cartridge (if you have the K9 version), then rinse the filter under a cold water tap.

Make sure the filter is completely dry before being re-inserted into the vacuum..There is a blockage somewhere in the vacuum.
